Nvidia 12.40/12.60 disables manual AA?

In my VisionTek GF3 properties, when I click manual AA all selections below it (2x, 4x, QAA, etc.) are still grayed-out. I installed NvMax and RivaTuner, which I believe let me choose the AA mode -- but how do I test whether or not it's actually been changed? Has anyone else experienced this problem? TIA.

Works for me with my Visiontek GF3 with 16.60 drivers, reinstall them.

I am having this problem as well on my GTS with the 12.40 ref drivers. It seems I can get the GeforceAAset util (handy as hell) to work but choosing "manually choose the AA mode" instead of Software controlled. However there are only 2 freaking modes available that is SO LAME why don't they allow all the AA modes from earlier drivers. VERY lame/annoying.
