Just wondering if I should install the new driver (163.69) when I get back to campus and plug my new 8800GTS in :D

I just installed the new Beta and my performance index score on Vista jumped up from 5.1 to 5.5 on my 7600GT. I also noticed my framerates and overall gaming experience has improved in WoW. I was previously using the latest stable driver from Nvidia.

nice. i guess theres no harm trying, esp since i want to try out that new crysis demo when it comes out, and the beta drivers say some things were optimized for crysis.

"Added PureVideo? HD decode acceleration for GeForce 8600, 8500 and 8400 series GPUs."

Do the 8800 series have that functionality too?

And now they've re-released it a day later, now with WHQL certification.

is it me or is the description/position of the "GPU FAN SETTINGS" in these drivers are mixed up?

on the left they have "Direct fan Control", but then u roll over it with ur mouse it gives the description for "Automatic fan control" and same for the "Automatic fan Control" selection box

do we have some nubs at nvidia making these drivers?
