is it possible to add a reply number to every post in a thread, that way let say i want to post a link to thread such and such, reply #35, i dont have to count what reply it is.

or am i just lazy?

it would also be a good way to 'quote' previous replies...

like DAM said, in post #1

If you look at the reply just before the one you want to refer to, say, in a link, along the bottom of the message there's a bunch of links: Reply   Top   Bottom   Next   Previous   Edit

Rightclick on the one that says previous, and then choose to copy the link to the clipboard. That link will include the reply number in it, saving the need to count which reply it is in the thread, which can be a pain in the longer threads.

Just one issue with what you refer to JW310:

I read forums "backwards" due to my slow connection, I've got it setup to show the latest replies first, thus when I checked in this thread your reply was msg#1 and the original post was #4, if others read forums the same way as me this wouldn't work for them

Just my $0.02

TwoFace: Hadn't thought about that issue. I guess that better explains why it's not possible to include a reply number within the messages. Ah well
