I have an E6600 and im trying to run two instances of F@H. I was told all i had to do was run them out of seperate folders like so.

However i noticed that both "instances" when clicking my cute little shortcuts you can see there on my desktop were running the same WU i guess it would be.

Im a complete noob and i have tried searching the forum and have yet to figure this out myself. step by step needed please.
 
With an E6600 you should run 1 SMP client. v5.91 for x64, v5.92 for x86. There is a post around here somewhere with instructions on how to install and configure the client.
 
It is imperative that you start the clients with the -local switch when you run more than one of them. Also, in the configuration section of the first run, you need to make sure you have assigned them different Machine IDs.

Finally, I agree with the advise that with a dual core machine, you are better off with a single SMP (v5.91) client as far as production goes.

Make sure your configurations for the two clients have a "Machine ID" which is a different number for each.

*Disclaimer: Running the SMP client means your machine must stay on pretty much 24/7 to meet deadlines. If you do not want to do this, 2x single processor clients is for you, as the deadlines are very long.

I have the single processor client, my question is how the hell do i assign these things you are saying.

I have no idea how to do this
