Looking for information on the NU QL-711V 17" LCD Monitor. Haven't turned up very much hands on reviews. Does anyone here have one? I'm looking at 17in LCD's and many of these lesser known brands have better specs and better review (according to Newegg.com anyway) than the "name" brand LCD's. Looking for good games display (though not hardcore) at 1280x1024, but also good desktop display at the same resolution. Maybe you have a better suggestion?

Thanks all for you feedback.

I just got myself this Nu QL-711V 17" LCD for weeks instead of my BIGGG old 19" CRT monitor. It fit into my desk nicely. Now, I have more space in my table. My eye will not feel bad even I work whole day.

This is my first LCD monitor, the price and quality is great. I like it. I may get another one for my sister soon.

Received this monitor today from Newegg and so far it is all I expected. I have had numerous CRT displays and I must say that the text on this monitor is the best I have seen. Played Doom3 and watched DVD movie and both look good with no ghosting. Use the autoconfigue rather than trying to configure yourself.
I am running the monitor at 1280x1024 32bit color at 75hz. Really bright display with good contrast. The display reminds me of the Viewsonic VSX900-2. Suits me fine.

Does the QL711V 17 inch LCD monitor have a standard VESA mount on the back of the monitor?

You might also want to take a look at the Jetway 17 inch LCD monitor on NewEgg. It has DVI and a 16 ms response time. It is $245 in either silver or black. To my recollection, the NU monitor only has a 15-pin D-sub and is $255.

Just a thought.
