NTLDR missing....

Ok so everytime I encountered this before I just reinstalled Win98......but I need to keep this system intact....is there anyway to troubleshoot the 'NTLDR missing' error?
Would reinstalling 98 'over the top' keep my drivers intact?

Is there a floppy diskette in your floppy drive? If so, take that out for starters.

Are their USBs connected like a scanner or something? If so, take it out and try booting it up. If it doesn't work, try doing a repair installation.

Since when is NTLDR a part of win98?

NTLDR, as the name implies is an NT (NT4, 2k, XP) file I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong.
