NTLDR missing

My video card fan died, so I put a new fan on. But then I broke a resistor off snapping it back in.

So then I put my old Kyro I card in. Now it tries to boot and comes up with the error : "NTLDR is missing. Please press any key to restart." Of course this just brings up the error again.

My friend has told me that this is the harddrive not booting for some reason. It reads and recognizes both harddrives. I have unplugged and checked all connections. Then I reset the CMOS when all else failed. Any other ideas?

You don't have a floppy sitting in the floppy drive, do you? ;) It happens...

ntldr has got nothing to do with your videocard. It's a weird coincidence that you got this error when you swapped out your floppy.

What OS
XP= Use recovery console to replace NTLDR.
See the middle of this page "Recovering from bootup problem".

Ok thanks for the help everyone. I ran the recovery program and got back into windows. Installed drivers for the new card and now can't click on anything without the system hanging for 20 or 30 seconds. I have F@H and everything else closed and it's still locking up. I made sure to remove the detonators but I'm thinking maybe they are still lingering around. When I can get a new card I'm going to have to do a fresh install I think.
