So how do the other Admins out there track folder permissions for your file shares on windows boxes?
How do you deal with the question from a user who has access to these folders? Frankly or file shares are a mess and it is very hard to track sometimes who has access to what. I try to use groups whenver possible but when dealing with 50+ main folders that then branch out into multiple folders and keep going from there. The main Dept drive for or rmain file share has 1.6 TB of data and 230,000+ folders.
