NTBackup .bkf restore utility for Vista

I love you Smilin. :D Man, I was pissed when I went to restore part of my last XP backup (Documents and Favorites) into Vista and it couldn't read it. It just never dawned on me that it wouldn't be backwards compatible out of the box.

So I did the same thing. I use ntbackup exclusively and simply didn't have enough space on my two rigs to do a restore to a separate location then pull it across the net. I found the beta of the NTbackup restore internally and it worked like a champ. The devs were soliciting feedback on it and were wondering if anyone would really use it. The chorus of "YES" that followed was deafening. I knew after that they would release it but I'm kinda surprised it was this soon actually.

Glad you're digging it. Hope you're enjoying Vista too!

I did the same thing while running one of the beta builds. Fortunetly I was running dual-boot and dropped back into XP Pro so I could do a restore (this utitily wasn't complete).
