NT4 Server. Can I password protect folders/file instead of permissions?

Hi all,

Want to instead of using permissions, use password for certain folders on the network drive. Is there a way to set this up easily? I'm not seeing options to do this.

nope.

nt4 uses the permissions to control access. just make a group and give the group permissions to the files/folders. then add users to the group as needed.

you can connect to network resources using alternate credentials. look at the "net use" command.
