Hey Gang

I have a small problem. I went to check the time/date properties the other day on my server and the screen never came up properly. It just hangs there. I went to task manager and there is nothing in the applications section to shut down. The time/date properties window just sits in "limbo" not coming up all the way, and blocking a few desktop icons. When i checked out the processes running, i dont know which process is running the time/date properties process.
Its getting to the point that we're thinking of rebooting the server. I just wanted to know if there could be a way to get rid of this screen without rebooting the networks main server. The system Idle process is upto 1600 hours, if thats any help...

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
wnied

You NEED a reboot BAD my friend...

NT can NOT go as long as Unix/Linux without a reboot. Trying to do this is risky...

All of my NT servers get rebooted once a month (minimum). My rule is the more the server does/has installed the more it gets rebooted. My SBS4.5 server gets all cranky if it runs longer than 4 weeks without a reboot. We do have a Vanilla-NT file server that could probably go about 6+ months without a reboot, but why take that risk?

I have the same problem with my server with IE. For whatever reason, one day it just decided that IE wouldn't load any more. No changes transpired first, and reboots don't help. I'm thinking of reinstalling the service pack to see if that helps...
