Nt security

I'm hoping someone can help me. I went to an Nt security seminar last week and was about to begin implementing a few things.
First thing I did was to copy and rename the administrator account. When I logged in with the renamed account it did not want to restore some network connections on the wan. So after trying the copied admin account as well and getting the same problem I decided the heck with it i'l just rename it back WRONG now the renamed account has problems with network connections on the local machine and the account that was copied still has problems with the wan connections. I'm guessing this has something to do with permissions but I can't figure it out any help would be appreciated
Thanks,
Mord

Assuming that you copied the permissions connection your problem is the services. Some services are set to automatically log on with the administer's account. This allows the services to be run without having someone logged onto the server. Simply co to the services menu look for the automatic services, open it up and change the password to your current admin's password
