NT "net send" messaging problem

I've got a friend at work that's trying to use the Windows NT "net send" command to send messages to another computer on the network. She's able to send messages, but unable to receive messages.
The network doesn't filter these, as we're able to use this command using other PCs.

The messenger service is running.

Any ideas?

Have someone try to send her a message by using her IP instead of her computername. If this works ( im guessing it will) its a DNS/WINS issue ( whichever is used primarily on the network for name resolution)
