nSvclp.exe error on startup and shutdown

Oh my gosh, i'm getting so sick of my computer...OK so I have no idea what nSvclp.exe is, i couldn't find any information on it. There was actually a post on here from late 2005 about this but i decided to make my own because there's one thing that mine's doin that the other guy's wasn't.

So on startup and sometimes shutdown of xp pro i get an error message that says something about nSvclp.exe either couldn't read my memory or needs to shutdown. I actually just restarted my pc and of course when i need it to, there was no error messages. But when i get one again i'll post what exactly it says.

Anyway, in the old post that i was talking about they were linking the errors to the video drivers, which i guess makes sense....but i've uninstalled them, reinstalled them-errors still show...i've uninstalled from add/remove programs and device manager, reboot in safe mode, run driver cleaner, rebooted-still errors...i've also run ad-aware, spybot, and avg scans in safe mode and i still get error messages. I'm so stumped....and pissed. But there's more...the icing on the cake is that for some reason ever since the error messages, i can't get online...everything says i'm connected but no webpages will show and trillian and limewire won't connect. I've even tried my wireless card and NIC--both say connected and still nothing...so i know it's not the onboard LAN or wireless card...and the thing is also, that i just formatted my hard drive because of this problem, got everything back up and was online for at least 4 days or so...then (could be a coincidence) i X'd out of the tv while it was still playing instead of hitting pause then exit...and it froze. The rest of the computer was fine, except for the tv...rebooted and i can't honestly remember if it was right away or a day later, the error messages came and the internet went.

Thanks for reading this horror novel and for any suggestions.

This sounds like an error w/ the Network Access Manager (part of the Nvidia nforce chipset drivers, I believe). You may want to try updating/reinstalling the ntune drivers.

(I believe the executable is actually nSvcpl.exe)

** Edit **

ntune should have been nforce.. sorry, I guess it's bedtime :)

C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NetworkAccessManager\bin\nSvcIp.exe

The process nSvcIp belongs to the software NVIDIA ForceWare Network Access Manager or NVIDIA nSvcIp by NVIDIA Corporation (www.nvidia.com).

I have never encountered this problem, so I cannot tell you how to fix this issue. Perhpas... well, i dunno. Is it a service that you can disable in administrative tools to see if the error goes away?

hmm, tried unistalling and reinstalling nTune and rebooted and got one of the messages..."The instruction at "0x1000cc64" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program Click on CANCEL to debug the program"

yea, that's the post^^^...although, it's not all there for some reason

Oh and i got the other message too.."nSvclp.exe encountered a problem and needed to close." then you can send an error report

sending a report is not gonna help you. it just reports the error but they do not contact you back to help you.

did you try reinstalling the drivers?
