"The biggest advantage that a video propagandist has is that reality, as they say in the blog comments, is tl; dr. Too long; didn't read."

Conservatives don't give a shit about the truth. Ask a conservative about the ACORN video, and they'll tell you about the O'Keefe's edited portion that made it look like ACORN was doing the opposite of what actually happened. The fact that conservatives here jumped at the edited npr video even though many/most of them knew of O'Keefe's history of manipulation and lying, it didn't deter them.

The Ends justify the Means is the motto of contemporary Conservatives. Lie, cheat, steal, incite violence, break as many Laws as you have to, just get the desired end.

Interesting, thanks. Certainly O'Keefe made the interview look as damaging as possible. I'm reminded of CBS with a line-up of Bush-bashing stories in the weeks before the 2004 election, led off with obviously forged documents. Or NBC doing a segment of how a crash can ignite fuel in a Chevy pickup - but using radio-controlled model rocket motors to start the fire. Kudos again to Beck and his people for not blindly accepting convenient allegations.

I don't think the ACORN videos were edited to show ACORN "doing the opposite of what actually happened." Certainly O'Keefe dishonestly edited them to make ACORN look worse, but the only evidence of ACORN doing anything to report this supposed child prostitution/slavery was one ACORN employee who after the videos came out claimed to have called her cousin, a cop - a phone call that conveniently wouldn't be logged like other, normal phone calls to the police.

This whole thing should be a non-issue. Anyone who honestly believes that ABC/CBS/NBC/CNN/MSNBC execs don't in private say disparaging things about Republicans, conservatives and Tea Partiers, or that FoxNews execs don't say the same about Democrats, progressives and liberals, is laughably naive or intentionally dense.
