Some of you guys are being extremely harsh. Whats up with that? Why are some of you taking on that attitude?

Probably the same reason people still Spit at the name "Benedict" Arnold.

People feel "betrayed" ... the betrayer will never, ever be forgiven, no matter what.

Some people need to grow the hell up and let go of it. Good grief, people, act like adults.

hey.. we're not the ones running around going "hey look.. i got a Radio interview" .. or "boo hoo hoo... poor me .. i did something that the admin's asked.. people hate me, but i know the truth" every few weeks..

The "acting like adults" needs to start with the perp.

The mods used to delete threads about this crap... i think they need to go back to doing it.

"acting like adults" starts with everyone, not just one person. Why don't you set an example? It's like little kids going "NO YOU," "NO YOU" over and over.

He was one the first female member here, even if just in pretend. It was an AWESOME trolling job, and frankly the only notable thing to ever come from ATOT. He should be considered a hero, and FX or TNT should make a movie about this.

Seriously this is the defining moment for ATOT, even if you hate him for doing it, you can't deny how big this story was. He really took trolling in a whole new direction and is fucking hilarious to boot. I salute him for sure. And it's just a web site people who actually get that emotional over what he did need to log off, give away their computer and get out into the real world. It's not that serious.

I can't believe I actually listened to the show. LOL. Not sure what the purpose of the writer and the comedian were...so skipped over those two. Really it was nothing new though.

The responses from the moderators is disgusting. What the hell is wrong with you guys? The OP brings this shit up against and people dont have the right to feel outraged still?

Wow.

Wow.

Huh? What responses? Who said that people aren't allowed to feel outraged?

I think he is referring to the generally permissive attitude of the older posters; I think it's a bit much to be outraged over this, from the standpoint of internet history or just detached curiosity it IS interesting. I just can't help but see it as an odd man going to extraordinary lengths to achieve acceptance, which is quite sad. I say this with no malice towards Dennil.

Originally any thread that mentioned this would be locked.

Yet the person that did it can comment about it all they like.

Ontop of not being permbanned, we have mods in here wondering why people are still bitter.

Bad form.

I agree, but I think its bad form on the OP and the two mods parts to not only bring this up, but to defend it against people still not so cool on the issue.

Just seems really off to me.

Noone said it in so many words.... but every mod seems to be praising this piece of trash:

Cool. I'll be listening.
KT

Good listen, thanx for sharing the backstory.

One even QUESTIONED why people were outraged:

Some of you guys are being extremely harsh. Whats up with that? Why are some of you taking on that attitude?

Only one person seemed to be taking the same stance as the rest of the membership

Cool Uncle Pervie gets another 15 minutes of fame.

I seriously wonder what Anand would say about this.

This shit is making me really lose respect in this site in general. I refuse to believe this was some sort of ploy to gain exposure, so I dont know whats going through peoples heads. Forgiveness is one thing, but HE IS BRINGING IT BACK UP.

SunSamurai,

I already explained earlier in this thread that this is in major part a response to Reitz's thread. The mods agreed with his thread, feeling that the time had come for a cooler-headed discussion of the event. I did not instigate the interview. The BBC contacted me. If you don't believe me, ask Jon Ronson.

And you coulda said "no, no... what i did was a bad thing, lets leave it buried in the past" ..

instead, the egotistical, publicityhound inside you said "YES YES YES!!
ooh.. i'll know, i'll pretend like this is making me sad, and a chance to finally get it off my chest. But.. i'll be FAMOUS again! WOO!"

If you read the thread I linked earlier, you bloody well know I did ask if I should agree to the interview.

And should I say yes?

I am inclined to do so if this is a serious program - might prevent others making the same mistake - but not if this is trash radio like Howard Stern or Rush Limbaugh. Looks serious enough at first glance and I respect the BBC. There also the fact that this involves the community, mods and some members who were deceived more than others so I'd like opinions from those concerned also, because I respect them very much, before I proceed. Your opinions matter in me making this decision.

So what do you guys think?

It's not about that. Its about you trying to play the good guy and getting backed up by it while bringing it all back up again because you wanted to at the same time anyone else that wasn't you would have had their thread locked and possibly banned. You instigated this thread. It was in bad form. You should of left it for someone else to report.

Seems more like a you you thing than a community thing, but from that article im exploading with unsurprisedness.
