To commemorate the Grand opening of my Computer room I am planning a small (up to 20 people) Lan at my place on the 17th of this month.

If you are interested post here or shoot me a PM.

The rules:

  • - You must be 21. NO EXCEPTIONS
    - Only register and say you come if you really know you can.
    - A working computer (for your benefit, try to make sure you computer doesn't crash every 5 min)
    - A drink of your choice. I will have some basics. (I will have a cooler)
    - Bring something to Grill or Plan to pitch in on the Pizza run
    - A sleeping bag if you decide to crash till Sun.

Games you will likely need:
C&C Generals
Warcraft 3
Half-life (Counterstrike)
Rainbow6 Ravenshield
Unreal Tournament2

And a little followup.

No extra equipment is needed. I have all we could possibly needs... and then some 😉
Of course bring your own gear, which includes the basics such as Power Cable, Lan cable (I got spares) Monitor cable Keyboard and mouse.

As far as Games... of course you are free to play what you want. But I would like to make an effort to get some good Team action going and besides the diehards... I doubt there is a big interest in Quake2. Feel free to bring it, but come and play along with the crowd. It will be fun!

Friends of my brother are having a party for him and his fiance. Looks like I am going to have to bow out of this one. Unless I can come for the morning and then go to the party later.

I will have to work this out.
 
hello strangers. i gotta keep this in mind (altho my system is now housed in a 800 ton steel cube case).

that q3a mod that was mentioned looks really sweet. and another vote for bf1942/rtr/dc (assuming i actually _make_ this one).

oh and i'm not registering yet, gotta run it by the boss first. but i am putting it on the list of things to discuss with her. 😉

oh well, good luck with your party, hope you get a better turnout (read: closer to your target number of guests) than we are looking at.

btw, dont overlook a jukebox-type machine for some music. nullsoft.com has a great app thatll let everyone in the party queue up music from a web browser. =)
 
Since the Room MOD has been a sort of LanParty room and I have a fridge that keeps drinks cold I have almost every weekend 3-4 people at my place for some gaming. We made 10, just inviting friends before.
Shouldn't be mucyh trouble to fill up 15-18 slots... pretty good number anyway.

I have 6 people for sure... we building off that! 😉
 
Karsten, Great job on the room! I'll be moving that weekend. We bought a place out in Grayson (I know way East.) Besides, you young guys would kick my ass on those games!
 
If I still lived in Atlanta I would be there, but the drive up from Orlando is quite long 🙁
