Makes me think of using a DVI -> VGA adapter in order to use the VGA input of your LCD.

Sure you can make VoIP calls over POTS, but is quality, lag, reliability going to be decent? I highly doubt it.

The real question is, can I run a dialup modem over this VOIP connection? I know alot of people have problems using dialup using their broadband VOIP providers.

And can I run this VOIP software on a dialup session running over a VOIP session on a dialup session?

Let's see.... laggy dialup + VoIP lag due to dialup connection = Too much lag for such a crazy idea. ;)

Yeah, in all honesty, I don't see how it can work either...that's why the "(Now, you can give up your broadband and go directly to DUN!) wink! wink!" sarcasm.", on my part.

It could still be a good deal. Get the cheapest possible phone plan from your local phone provider then use this for your calls. You'll probably come out ahead cost wise versus getting a fully loaded local phone service plan with the same features.

Great, so you dial 911 and your connection drops every 15 seconds... Sounds like a plan!
