Bah. When they had the $750 off I configured a comparable 8400 for nearly half that. Should have purchased...

I got my 8400 w/ 19" LCD for $550. Sold off the LCD and basically ended up with an 8400 for $300

With the $750 off, and selling the monitor, it was about $1500ish. Cheaper than building.

don't buy inpirons just yet. Wait 1-2 weeks, and if few buy now, dell will most likely drop the price again. The prices should be Sub 900 out the door to make it hot. Right now,t hey are right at around 1000, pre tax and pre shipping.
