Why pretend the woman we're discussing has any chance at all of being elected? She clearly has serious problems, she's running as stunt to get attention. If she doesn't get the attention she requires she'll go away.
Trump ran as a stunt. It works sometimes. Why do we pretend Republicans aren't into disreputable people? Didn't Roy Moore almost win? Saved by black women.

I just don't see the merits in acknowledging anyone who would support Trump if he killed someone on 5th ave. Tell me why I'm wrong.
You're not wrong, you're right on the mark. This is basic tribal politics. Your team against the other team, your guys are brave, important, humble men and women standing up for the little guy. The other team are evil villains that seek the end of civilisation as we know it. You can plug in the name of any person or party, the script stays the same.

This is classic Republican bullshit. Run a candidate in a no-win district who articulates all the disgusting views of the Republican Party. It motivates Republicans in other districts to vote but the party leadership gets to pretend that the candidate doesn't represent the party when clearly she does.
This is paranoia.

I agree, she's not as she's not even the nominee at this point. Anyone can run for office for either party and the fact that some rando candidate happens to be a violent nut is not particularly newsworthy.

More newsworthy is that Facebook decided not to ban her despite her calling for the death of public officials.

Guys her district is D+26. She's not losing to any Republican.
We are aware of this. This is precisely why the Republicans are happy to have Ms Stella run in the district and run her mouth off. It's a get-out-the-vote operation for Republicans in other districts. The message is that the Republicans are sticking it to "that foreigner" in her home district.

How does that explain Roy Moore? They were willing to let a credibly accused pedophile run in a red state.

Basically all the party leaders backed Moore's primary opponent though.
Yeah, Luther Strange was the party candidate. Their support of Moore after he won the nomination was more of a "hold their noses and support the non-Democrat" sort of thing. The fact that they'd still do that is not, for the record, particularly to their credit.

So you approve of the fact that self-labelled right-wing Free Speech Warriors are always demanding that other people be executed for their speech? Or are you just hoping that we sit by idly and apathetically as we devolve into an authoritarian state where people are executed for their speech under the premise of protecting free speech? Even better when that offending speech is just a made up conspiracy theory as in this case, right?

This is paranoia.
No, paranoia is making up bullshit conspiracy theories (lies) against your political opponents all the time and demanding that those lies be given a mainstream platform or else cry that you're being discriminated against.
Or in other words, your typical conservative Republican today, from Alex Jones to Q-Anon to Trump's "Witch Hunt" to the thread topic.

The War on Christmas crowd aren't looking to just be able to say Merry Christmas to Muslims and Jews, because they can already do that. What they want is for Muslims and Jews to be required to say Merry Christmas to them.

Exactly, she wants to make a little kid sad about not getting presents from Santa

Lots of other countries manage to not do this.

Reading the comments in those articles, I have to say that I am forever amazed by the RWNJ ability to fabricate absolute horseshit (read: blatant lies) in order to find a way to justify their agenda of political violence.

I guess the GOP only condones treason if the perp is white like Trump (exception—if said white perp is accused of being a “race traitor”.)
