Just as I thought, the Beatles still suck.

Yeah, well, if it wasnt for them the stuff you listen to wouldnt exist.

Oh yes, hail to the gods of music who came before everyone else and invented every style.

They definitely werent the only ones but to say they werent revolutionary for the time is just retarded.

I never said the weren't "revolutionary for the time," but to say that the music I listen to wouldn't exist is "just retarded." Just expressing my opinion, don't get bent out of shape. Not everyone likes the Beatles, deal with it.

You're, what...14, 15?

Of course, because I don't like the Beatles I must be.

No, because you come into a thread about the Beatles fully intent on bashing them instead of recognizing their talent. Do you like Nirvana?

and way to avoid the question, mr "eye-roll".

No, I came in and listened to the song (not having heard the Beatles in 4 or 5 years), and decided I still didn't like them. No, I don't particularly care for Nirvana. And, I'm 20.

Please provide examples of what SacrosanctFiend would consider "good music".

Not everyone has to like them, but they should acknowledge that they were a great band.

There are plenty of different bands that I don't like to listen to, but I can acknowledge that they are a good band.

To just come in here and say "the beatles suck" is just trolling. Don't try and backpeddle when people attack you for it.

Please provide examples of SacrosanctFiend would consider "good music".

Mainly musicals (Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Rent, etc.), older Sarah Brightman, Josh Groban, some classical work by Romantics such as Bizet and Berlioz. Then, for mindless music, Less Than Jake, Mustard Plug, Long Beach Dub All Stars, Sublime, MxPx. And recently, Frou Frou, Shins, Fallout Boy, Guster. I have an eclectic taste.

Cool.
Mashups are going to become this big thing soon. Which is really sad because it just shows that talented artists are becoming very few and far between.

Edit: After listening, I think this mashup is mediocre at best. The creator could have picked at least a couple GOOD songs.

Do you play an instrument or ever have any aspirations of playing music?

I am a punk-rock kid by heart, but after I actually started to learn how to play the guitar I was absolutely blown away by the Beatles. I was 23.

An appreciation for the Beatles, their music and their influence is something that takes time to develop. If you look at all of your favorite bands, I would bet you at least half of them would list the Beatles as an influence. That was another reason I started listening to them. So many of the bands that I loved (including MxPx, Less Than Jake, etc) talked about how much of an influence they were on them.

Does anyone have a list of the 40 Beatles songs that supposedly are in this? My friend who is a huge Beatles fan has been pestering me for weeks to find one, and I can't.

just on my ears I know the following songs were used (close to order, and not counting repeats):

Lady Madonna
Hard Day's Night
I've Just Seen a Face
Here Comes the Sun
Ticket to Ride
Day Tripper
She Said She Said
Please Mr. Postman
In My Life
I've got a Feeling (the Oh Yeah section)
Magical Mystery Tour (heard faintly during the oh yeah section)
I'm a Loser
The Word
Blackbird
Get Back
A day in the Life
Hey Jude
All you Need is Love

So I got 18... out of 40 😛

Edit: My sister could probably pick out most of the rest. She's a beatles nut. Unfortunately I dont have any means to give her the song as of now.
