yep they are in for a treat, now if only i had a fast upload, i would video tape the pulls down in bowling green just for them.
they are a sight to be seen.
and yes, there are things to stop them, and basically anything can be stopped.

No kiddin a treat! Nothing like see'em come off the line. Front pops up 4 damned feet in the air, rear tires lookin nothing but a blur with dirt flyin and engines screaming. Then about 5 feet later they really hook up and just walk down the strip till about half or 3/4 the way where they just start to lose traction (In the final runs when they get some weight on the trailer).
In the beginning its more of a sprint to the finish line.
