I was just thinking of what kind of plane I'd like if I got into it(WWII or WWI fighters), and remembered I got a plane kit when I was little. I was about 10, and so far over my head it wasn't funny. It was a biplane kit, and the balsa wood pieces to the frame had to be bent and assembled. Then the fabric skin had to be cut and applied by the user. That plane never got built :^D

You aren't kidding. I didn't get a single piece of it assembled. They included helpful templates you could stick pins in to make a jig for bending the wood, and it never got farther than that. I had a bunch of pieces I was bending on the bench, and that was it.

I was so excited when I got the kit, and didn't have a single clue as to how advanced it was. It would be like winning a house today, and you get to the site, and it's a bunch of material from Home Depot, and some blue prints :^D
