Now that we broke nEo's where should we all go? (CS players) IT'S NOT BROKEN

I was just wondering, how do you go about playing CS? I have Half-life, and I have heard that you can download Counter Strike? Then what do you do? I'm a newbie to Half-life/CS (DOH), and I'm interested. I play a lot of Q3A/Tribes so I don't suck too bad (I think). 🙂

For those of you who like GideonX's server and ping well there, there's another server on the same LAN now, run by my friend.
It's dust-only, and the IP is leenoserver.dhs.org:27016 . Enjoy!
 
OK, I'm downloading it now. Should take about 15 minutes. After I get it downloaded, I just run the exe? And then is there server finder or something? Like in Q3A you just go to Multiplayer and it gets servers automatically. Or is there a server that AnandhTechers go to?

By the way: It does get "choppy" sometimes, depends on your routes to the server. It's 4 T1s, though, so if you are close and have good routes you should ping well. I ping 140-150ms on a 56k modem. I could always change the maps to whatever you guys want, but I just keep the normal maps plus de_rats. Other ones not everybody has so I took those off. If you go to Hastezone Download Center you can download some maps that I think are good. The map cycle is out of date, however..

I guess I'll head there now too. If you guys want low gravity or anything when you're on there, just let me know. My handle is "Haste". BTW I warned you about the choppiness if you have bad routes to the server, so DON'T complain! 🙂

I just tried but it seems im not getting a true ip cuz im behind a firewall, when I created it said

server ip: *****
server ipx:*********
then addding master server: a new number diff from above
another line with a diff number
then another with the same number as adding master server, which is my server ip?
