I'm in college...most things don't affect me yet. And naturally I expect to be in the top 1% of incomes following graduation, so I'm not too worried 😉
 
More worried about future Patriot Acts. Have to see how it plays out. For the time being, not going to stress out over it.
 
Why should I be scared? It's not like they're going to steal my money and give it as handouts to people who don't deserve it via the wellfare system. I was far more worried in 1992 when the Dems had complete control.

I imagine the courts will restrict it somewhat. I have a problem even with the name. So you don't support it YOU MUST BE UNPATRIOTIC. You can believe that entered into it. Could have been the AntiTerrorist act, or anything else. Again we will have to see how this plays out.

I don't think the courts will do much. They're the ones that elected Bush in the first place. Bush also mentioned that one of his first goals is to get his conservative judges approved now that he has the majority in all houses. And we aren't even talking about that fascist Ashcroft yet...

I always though that you have to earn 3 figure incomes to be a republican, but now that I make less than $100 grand yet pay nearly 20K a year in taxes i am swinging in the republican direction more often

Of course that was the reason for the naming, and that's probably why it passed. No one wants to speak out against patriotism, because blind following is great.
