who has/had to pay the most for books this semester.

I am taking 15 units and I had one book already but even so without it.. for 12 units I have to pay close to $220 for my books.. We got one teacher to drop another book in her class cause it was only 8 weeks and we dont need it that badly, plus its expensive. My cheapest book is $5.99 the most expensive one was $77

$77??? that's it!!! that's cheaper than the cheapest used book that i needed for this semester... lucky for me my roommate took all these class before, so i didn't buy a single book.. i did buy this manual thing for my circuits class.. that cost me $30.. other than that, i spent nothing on books...

my lowest (For new) is $105 for my engineering mechanics dynamics book, highest is.. $120 for my linear circuits analysis book.. total i would have spent this semester on texts would have been $551 for new books before tax.. insane

oh.. and i'm taking 16 units.. so i'm spending $110 and change per class on books... $34 and change per unit on books and

$220 is cheap for 15 units(5? classes)! When I was going part time I oftentimes spent that just for books for 2 classes. My wife spends at least $400 a semester for books.

stonecold.. most teachers will let you use old editions as long as you a) go to them and get the problem sets, b) get them from other students, c) don't do your homework, and lose out on the benefits

i have a couple older editions, and i chose to get the problems from other students... preferably from the pretty ladies.. but those don't come by too often in engineering.. :(
