Now that Q3A "works", how can I test the speed?

83fps in 800600? Hell I'd play in 1600x1200 and be happy with the framerate!

..... Oh wait, with this monitor I could only do 1280x1024... ah, good enough! 😛

<< HEll even if you had a v3 it would stil suck. >>

I turn everything on max and at 800x600x16 I get around 65+ fps in demo001. Much faster in real gaming, and in demo001 if I turn the detail down.

RSI, I suspect that you might get an improvement with a better video card and still keep the CPU (for now), but a better CPU is recommended too.

Hey, thanks for that link... I heard of that, but what exactly will it give me? Will it be worth using this?

kami,

You must using Vertex lighting to get those speeds, no? Using the HQ setting I get just under 70 fps, but it almost hits 80 if I use Vertex lighting (which looks bad). Celeron 920, V3 179. (Wicked3D drivers)

RSI,

The Wicked3D drivers will be an speed improvement, assuming the Banshee is supported.

Eug,

I downloaded it. Yes, this thing is strictly for Voodoo II/III/Velocity and Banshee. It lowered my speed by 8-9fps. How handy.
