Now THAT is one long insect!

That's pretty damn big, but I'd imagine I'd still be more freaked out by a perching a) huge spider, or b) giant millipede. And don't even get me started on cockroaches.

OMFG Why did I click that! God damn, a fucking bird eating spider? F***!

You are one wussy black dragon. Better stay clear of paladins.

It's funny, some insects I just get the urge to pick up and look at (ie: mantids) while others get the stomp (ie: stink bugs), while others get an all out ethnic cleansing (ie: black widows and ants).

A specimen of the stick insect Phobaeticus chani measures 56.6cm (22.3in) long with its legs fully stretched,

Just imagine yourself in bed, opening your eyes and seeing this on the ceiling.

Wow. One of the comments claims the web has has six times the tensile strength of steel.

Oh and I came in here to say "That's what she said."

How's it even possible to produce that kind of web from the body? That'd be a nice superpower.

And lawl at: "Please come back tomorrow and tell us it's fake. 'k? lie if you have to."

now how about a tape worm....

thumbs up for the bird eating spider...... now i need to go read the wiki on it.

In addition to its size, its eggs may also be unique in the insect world. Each egg capsule has wing-like extensions on either side like a miniature golden snitch, allowing them to drift in the wind when the female drops them, thereby helping the species to spread
