Now that I called 911

About a month ago, this couple moved in right upstairs of where I live(apartment). Ever since then, I often heard them fighting(both yelling and this banging sound that I think one of them was hitting on the wall or something). Beside that, I heard them having some wild sex so I thought they were one of those loud couples (I usually heard them having sex once in two days and fighting twice a week).

Well, I've never filed any complains to the manager or anything. However, today I heard the girl screaming "stop hitting me" and that's when I knew I had to call 911. It was my first time calling 911. I gave the operator my name, address, and phone number. The cops(!very good looking 2 female cops!) arrived within a minute and they, too, heard this couple screaming their guts out upon arrival. They looked quite serious and went straight upstairs (EDIT: Too bad I didn't get to take any pics. If they didn't look all that serious, I would've taken a pic).

Now, what makes me curious is if 911 will have me informed on this issue or if they'll contact me at all. As I'm the one who called, I think I deserve to know about the situation, or do I?

P.S: It's been an hour since they came and they're still there.

I dunno, I'm damn surprised they showed up that fast though. And kudos to you for not being a little shaken up by it. If I lived right under an abusive man I'd be worried that he might have more anger issues than just with his wife.

No they will not inform you however if you ask for a report number you can pay to get a copy usually.

since it's late at night, it's hard to tell, they may not want to bother you. But the few times that I've contacted the police, after the incident was all taken care of, the police officers asked for my info because I was a witness.
