I got $80 back on a $400 iPAQ last year. It takes a while to get the $$ (sometime in Jan or Feb) but if you have the patience, this can be a very hot deal!

Feel free to list the best deals you can find in this thread- I am looking into either the Viewsonic V35 PDA, or the new HP model.

Looks like you don't get cash back as previous years, but rather "MSN Dollars" to spend at participating stores.

From the site:
"We'll send you an email in February 2003 notifying you that your reward is available. There'll be a quick & easy activation process, after which you can immediately spend your MSN Dollars using your MSN Wallet at any participating store(s)."
 
Ah... I still have fond memories of this promotion from 2000... got some insane deals from Dell and Mercata, among others. Those were the days, eh Ross? 😀

Hopefully they'll have some good deals this time around too.

Well looks like they are still developing hte site. but heres a big difference, now instead of a check back you get credit towards future purchases.

Still a good deal, but a little different.
 
Man, I never got my $60 check from the 800.com Fuji Finepix 2600 deal, anyone know what I should do to complain about this?
 
same here, i never got my $40 (??...it's been so long, i don't even remember how much they owe me) check.
 
Last year I bought a Canon S30 from Ritz through the MSN holiday rewards program and I used AMEX's BVG to PM with a cheaper e-tailor, to top it off they accidentally sent me TWO rebate checks! I essentially bought the camera for $300 LESS than the current MSRP! Can't wait for the deals this year!

EDIT: It sucks this year, you only can get MSN dollars which have to be spent on a participating MSN retailer, I guess its better than nothing.
 
I was able to save a crapload of money using MSN and AMEX Blue PM on my JVC in-dash MP3 player...it did take forever and a year to get the rebate though
 
i remember the smokin mercata deals way back when. I spent too much money last time. Im glad the deals are not as good this year.
 
damn, i got some sick deals out of this one from 800.com and from ritz, i ended up getting an mp3 player for my car (indash) for $85 shipped. I also got a nice digicam for my mom, forgot which one, but it was 3.34 mp, for about $400 under MSRP. sweet deals, hope i can find some good ones this year
 
i remember i got my canon s20 from them using this deal & my amex blue. i think i got everything for about $300 under photoalley's original price...THOSE were the days!

i want my AMEX Blue pricematching back! 🙁
 
I, for one, actually had a good experience with this.

Last year i tried buying a Digital camera from of the featured stores (PhotoAlley), thing is my order went haywire. First of all it came in twice, secondly it was cancelled due to lack of inventory. But by the time it was cancelled i already had credit with MSN.

A couple weeks later i was contacted by MSN for verification that i am to receive $100. I told them my order was cancelled and that i didn't earn it - multiple times. But the CSR on MSN's side said since there's no way for me to prove that it was cancelled (they got notice from the store that my items were already paid for shipped to me) i really can't deny the check. He did however thank me for my honesty.

I thought that was the end of that. But alas! A week later i got the $100 check from MSN.

I guess there are still some good people out there 🙂
 
I did the MSN deal 2 years in a row and actually bought thisngs I needed 🙂 Worked greatin teh past. Not as appealing as a spend more $$$ credit, but I guess we wqill wait and see.
 
ok this kinda sucks...
i have been really looking forward to this to get a digicam
but i want $$ back...not crap MSN-Dollars. 🙁
this really blows it for me.

Yep that's when you and I first met, thanks to those infamous Dell/MSN threads ... ah memories.

Also remember stacking this MSN with Mercata, 800.com among other merchants most of whom are now dead ... gee I wonder why?

i miss those happy days. now 20% off comes in form of MSN dollars. last year was real cash. but still could be hot though.
 
I emailed those morons 3 days ago about it and they told me it was now called passportwallet or some crap like that.

Yeah, this deal totally blows. In 2000, I racked up on a Toshiba DVD player from 800.com for like $94 shipped after an instant $50 or $100 off (can't remember), and last year I got a Nikon Coolpix 995 for $349 after the MSN, Nikon, and Amex BVG rebates. But up to 20% in MSN rewards? Sounds lousy to me.
 
I can also remember the MSN/Mercata days. I got a Compaq MV920 monitor and JBL speakers for free shipped for free....those were the days....it probably depends where you can spend the msn dollars...😉

wow no wonder i haven't heard any deals from them.
didn't even realize they gone.
