Now Ohio State can play an extra patsy

This only further negates the argument that a playoff system would unduly make the season too long. I know it's really a money issue, but they have used this argument, as well.

Go back to a 10 game season, put in a 4 week playoff system (16 teams) and have a real f'in National Champion!

If you read the article, you will find it is still a 12-game season, it's just adding a bye week for each team.

Big Ten school presidents voted to support a 13-week schedule on Dec. 2, spokesman Scott Chipman said. That will allow teams one week off during the 12-game regular season.
