hi,
thanks for the help with my last question. now heres this one:
i took out my montego 2 to return because of a hardware prob, and i removed the drivers then removed the card. then i re-enabled my mobo mounted sound. it works fine (like in WinAMP), but in windows media player and roger wilco, it says it couldnt find a sound card, then it freezes the comp. i went into safe mode, and i removed the entries for the montego 2 in the control panel -> system dialog. it removed all of them fine except for "montego 2 pci sound" or something like that, because the multifunction adapter (which wasnt there) has to be removed first. i know this is where the problem is because when i put my montego 2 in, i disabled the onboard sound, removed the drivers in normal mode, then in safe mode removed the entries(because if i didnt, then itll lock up). so i know this is the root of my problem. how do i remove that last entrie for the montego 2?
thanks,
Nabeel
