Mmmmm, must have been in a big rush. I think he is talking about 256MB RAM deals. Here's the Viking 256MB PC133 DIMM VC Value memory I think he was refering to at Egghead: link
It's $79.99 + 6.95 shipping. It's about time Viking dropped its RAM prices. I believe Viking memory quality is equivelent to Kingston's. Not sure about its o/c ability.

At Crucial, the 256MB PC133 CL2 is at $89, $85 if you use ebates. Looks like it dropped $1.

for onvia, only price drop more than $10 will give you diff back, don't know about crucial. for just $2, better wait a while but within a month, don't know if they only give you price diff one time. but if later price goes up, you don't need to ask for price diff.
does anybody know a sure answer?

Argh....will crucial stop dropping prices? :)

The temptation to get another stick just gets worse everyday...

Wonder what the improvement will be like at 512...

Kingofcomputer - you should quantify your post better. NO ONE has gotten the ebates.com/Crucial.com rebate, and one individual commented that it had to do with how the ebates website is setup.

I still haven't received credit to my eBates account from Crucial.com yet, I'm beginning to think that maybe milky was right.

It's been a month for me and no 6.00 rebate for my Crucial purchase. That one is toast but it was still a good deal on the memory.

Something is wrong if you cannot understand the title. Seems straightforward to me. Try adjusting your monitor maybe. hahaha!

I should buy another Crucial stick....good post.

Don't blame them, at first I made the title as $85/89 for crucial, they thought I mean $85 after ebates. You guys see a clear title now because I've updated it.

Anyway, everybody is happy for getting crucial at such great price.
Anybody is unhappy for paying too much for mushkin?

For those of you that chimmed-in after 20:54:45 on 25 February 2001 - maybe it's because Kingofcomputer EDITED the thread title after I suggested as such.

From post number one in this thread:

Message edited by: Kingofcomputer on 02/25/2001 20:54:45

And from my first post in this thread, I did include a link to the thread that includes the step-by-step instructions in RossMAN's thread....

My (laptop) monitor is working fine. Maybe you need new glasses???????

If people would just read the entire thread, you might just understand what's posted toward the end.....

either way, performance is WAY up.............
