Now I'm confused...

I have SERO with unlimited internet so I can check email/google/all internet/facebook/unlimited texting using my old Katana II (a plain flip phone). It also comes with 500 mins/unlimited N&E- all at $30/month total.

Well my faithful Katana II died, so I wanted to upgrade to a Blackberry. Well I have to pay EXTRA $30 for the data plan add-on.

What does the data plan do that my current internet plan can't do?

Sure Smartphones with data plans have full QWERTY keyboard... but after being disappointed with the additional charge, I went with Samsung Rant with no additional charge.

Now I'm confused. This new phone as you can see also has QWERTY and do all the things Blackberry can do. Why would I pay additional $30 for the data plan and get Blackberry/smartphone? Could someone point me out? Thanks.

Good thing I'm logged in to AT from my kiosk in the mall. Lemme just grab my company handbook and help you... 😉
