The fence is natural, no paint. And this one side of the fence is 110 feet long and all the wood was weathering nicely. :|

I am not going to leave the tag up for 3 months.

you should leave it there, then write below it:

is an ineffably blabbering sycophant and a masturbatory, air-polluting piece of excrement attached to a dog's posterior.

after a few months and it warms up, you can remove it. :p

Spray paint on raw pressure treated lumber......I asked some folks at the Sherman-Williams paint store about using a pressure washer and they seemed to think I was SOL.

Sand the boards? Couldn't look any worse than replacing them with new, unweathered boards.

Yeah, a pressure washer will damage the soft tissues of the wood.

Bummer.

:cookie: if it makes you feel better

I should put over the top of the tag---->Stop Posting n00b :p

BTW- This was a really poorly done one. You can tell he is a fvcktard n00b. Some taggers have skill, this one was missed the wap from the talent stick.

I had though of that option but what about this. I work with wood--alot. I believe the pressure treated lumber would clog the sandpaper way to fast. It would be much faster to get the planks planed down 1/16 to 3/32 except the color (from the pressure treatment) doesn't go down very far...so the color wouldn't match anyway. :frown:

I'm cheap and have access to a planer and all sorts of sanding equipment. I'd personally sand or plane it. But then again, I don't like the look of weathered wood and would've put a stain on to begin with.

Ahh...understand. Except pressure treated lumber need to be exposed for a while before it will properly accept the stain. That is what I was waiting for. I could not stain immediately as the wood would not have soaked up the stain properly. This spring I was all set to stain the entire fence. I have access also to a planer, albeit 40 miles from here. The replacement cost of the lumber is under $100.

*sigh* I will dream of slowly strangling this punk, or worse, while I sleep tonight.

Potato gun, servo motors, motion detectors, and starving engineering student. Instant sentry gun. After a few frozen spuds, no one will fvck with your fence.

If the boards were planed/sanded on one side and flipped over, would that work? Is the other side in a prominent location? Is there anywhere that the boards could be switched with that would hide the tag until the weather warms up?

If you get a Chem E you can probably use more interesting ammo than potatoes.

What's your plan for defense after you replace this fence? Security cam would be the most fun, since you could then know he did it twice if the tag is the same, then see how daddy and the sheriff feel about it.

I wouldn't spend money replacing it until you find a way to prevent it from happening again or catching the little bastard because he will just come back and do it again when you replace it. Its a crappy situation but you need to think about that.
