Ok yeah, my post was meant to be sarcastic because Insane3D was attacking me for being a mindless French basher after I simply stated that France doesn't deserve US Support because France didn't support the US in Iraq. I have no beef with the french personally...

Well, maybe I misunderstood you, and if I did I apologize. I wasn't suggesting France desrved our help over there, I was just disputing what I thought was an inaccuracy brought on by a dislike of anything French. You made the comment about the "UN Force" being 80% US troops, and that was incorrect.

As for the UN, it seems we are all for it when they do what we want, but when it's something we have no interest in, we could care less. For all the France bashing, it turned out they were right about Saddam in the end...

 
In case anybody cares... I hate the French. They pretend that the USA is nothing more than a colony 300 years later and their wine sucks compared to California wine. :laugh:

There is nothing redeeming about France except maybe Alizee and frankly I would rather roll around with Britney. :beer:

yeah i'm missing the link between preventing a civil war and creating a whole new conflict.

But yeah since the french didn't want to get involed in the mess we call "operation iraqi freedom", they must hate us and hate our way of life, which makes em terrorists. Only in the US you could simpifyi complex geopolitical events into "either with us or against us" scenario

"Ivory Coast has become an overseas territory in Jacques Chirac's head," said Koulibaly, Ivory Coast's second-highest leader.

So...Ivory Coast (official gov't) attacks a rebel position reinforced by UN Peacekeepers, kill some UN dudes, then get pissed that the French beat the hell out of them?

OMG, somebody please kill Koulibaly...

His comments may make him popular with his own people, but he's only making the problem worse.
