<< I bought the CDR this morning, and immediately returned it after I found it's made by CMC . CMC is the WORST CDR media I ever used. I bot 100CDR spindle K-Hypermedia (made by CMC) months ago from Microcenter, and I used about 5 CDRs -- ALL COASTERS. I never had any coasters with HP, SONY, TDK, Kodak, Maxell, even PNY (PNY CDR is not good either, according to what I read). I searched in google and newsgroup, and found CMC made the worst CDR all the time, while my experience proved too.

Just be careful. Don't store important data on this media. Maybe good for avi movies.
>>

I've found CMC media to be very good. I've burned hundreds of many kinds of discs and I never have problems with the CMC discs. I have had problems reading Taiyo Yuden discs though.

<< so lets see...
6cases*12packs/case = 72 packs
72packs * 200 cd's = 14400 cd's
14400 cd's*700 MB= 10,080,000MB = 10,080 GB = 10.08TB

dang thats a LOT of files
>>

Yeah, and just think how many duplicated files will be stored in 10.08TB!

A factor of 1,000? 1,000,000? 1,000,000,000?

Come on 10Gb Ethernet!

Come on carbon nanotube memories!

Where's Spock when ya' need 'em!

Just bought these and got them in the mail today. I can find no trace of any rebate anywhere. Could anyone hook me up with a link to the rebate form? Thanks

Got my CD-Rs from Officemax today in the mail from their online store. However, there was no receipt or packing slip in the box. No papers at all. Can I submit the rebate with just the printed online order confirmation? Has anyone had any experience with submitting rebates from officemax.com before?

LeprechaunKing, the rebate is here:

Yea I looked at this deal... Not bad... But I got in on the 50 pack of the same cd's last week for $1.99 after rebate.
They came with the 50pc spindle pack. 200 in 50pc packets for $14.00, not as good , but only 1 rebate, not bad.
I have not had any problems with these in any of my burners (of course I only used 10 so far).

just to let you guys know in advance that ive really had bad luck with KH. I was one of the ppl who bought em from i believe it was outpost.com with overnite shipping.
Lately some of these cd's that i had my data on started peeling off like roll tape. I have another spindle of kH but i wont use that again unless its for songs and other stuff.
Just use em at your own risk.

OMFGD! "Bad" CD-Rs are worthless after 20 years!

Who gives a rat's patootie!?!
I got news for you, in about 5 years all CD-R will be worthless because we will have bigger and better things to use.

Good evening, printed out the rebate coupon, now they are asking for an original sales receipt. I got two, a pink and a yellow one. Which one is used for the rebates? Thanks in advance.

Ive used hundreds of KHypermedias and all are still good. I have had no coasters whatsoever.
Ive purchased these mainly at Microcenter in VA and Office Max. Ive lost a small handfull cuz nero would freeze or 2k would die cuz of other probs. Ive used and still have both mirror finish and lables. Ive used ones that sold at 8x and could burn at 24x no prob. This past weekend, Microcenter had 12x Khypermedias for under 8$ while the 32x ones are 17$. However the 12x ones burn fine at 24x:) No 32x burner so icant test it here. But Dual burning at 12x and no probs with these. Yes they are CMC magnetics and most ppl have good luck with them. Ive got 100 Pioneer 12x here from Microcneters buy 50 74min 12x for 9.99 and get 3 free cdrw deal. And Ive got 100 32x 80 Khypermedias from Office MAxs deal and another 150 12x 80 from Microcneter. Theyve all worked fine for me.

With the rebate this is a great deal. Without... Its ok
