Hello,

Is this a good deal or not?

Amazon has the PNY 6800 GT for $329 ($379 - $50 promotional certificate for future purchases). It shows the model number as VCG6800GAPB, but doesn't have much other useful information.

Can anyone confirm if this is the 256 MB model? Does PNY even make a 128 MB model (I couldn't find one on their website).

A quick Google of VCG6800GAPB shows it as 256MB on numerous sites. This is definitely nice and I may hop on it if Provantage has screwed me out of my card (which is likely).
 
Not a bad deal if you haven't already pre-ordered Doom 3... like me... making my "hot deal" for GM employees a little less hot 🙁!
 
This was perfect! I had $125 in Amazon gift certificate funds, so I picked it up for under $275 with 1 day shipping. Time to put the old Gainward 4600 in the classifieds.

True enough, but Buy.com shows a 128MB model. Granted the model number is slightly different and it's not a GT... but I just wanted to confirm before I jumped on this.

Bought one. This is a sweet deal. I had a $100 gift cert to use too. 🙂 I definitely trust amazon alot more than provantage.

Yea me too... went to get gas as opposed to buying it on the spot, then came back ready to purchase and BAM it was gone. Stupid AT effect.
 
Wierd my Estimated Shipping Dates on my order got pushed back from July 28-29 to Aug 5-8 after I ordered and checked back on my order status. What are everyone elses ESD's?

I was right in the middle of checking out and got pulled off to look at something for maybe 10 minutes, came back and it's OOS.

That's two 6800 GT deals that I've missed due to actually trying to be a productive employee (missed the BestBuy deal because I ended up working on some things and waited until lunch to check AT).

Haha, just like me... I had it in my cart, ran to get gas, came back ready to order and OOS... My luck is insatiable
