That's $1,100 less than I paid for mine 2 1/2 years ago... It may be two generations back but it takes incredible photographs.

Yeah and it might finally convince people like myself to switch to DSLR and finally replace my old SLR!

That's a very nice DSLR at a pretty reasonable price. I might just get it if I can find an equally cheap lens. Anyone have a hot deal on lenses?

Nikon makes what's supposed to be a good all-purpose 28-200 for around $750. I want to get it to replace my 28-80 and 80-200. I don't remember the model number, but it is on Amazon. It's on my list, but too many other things on the list right now. It might not be super-pro-level, but from what I've read it's a very nice lens.

Since the D200 will accept and meter through newer Nikon AF film lenses, I bought two lenses that were sold with their film SLRs at great used prices. Check out Ken Rockwell's page (http://www.kenrockwell.com) on lens/camera compatibility if you're unsure.

ttt...still live friday, 5/8...
