Absolutely. I really liked it a lot, but JGL is probably in my top 3 favorite actors right now.

I liked the movie, and I think he did a great job of..imitating Bruce Willis' actions/facial expressions... but I find him overall to just be...kinda boring.

The Bells of ST. Mary's

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0037536/

Good solid movie. Funny and wholesome at the same time. Sometimes you cant beat the good old movies.

Its funny to how they encourage the boys to fist fight in the school. Maybe theres a reason we didnt have people blowing away half a building at a time back then.

Les Miserable - 0/10 - BORING. Just a long boring movie that did not draw me in at all. At first I thought Russel Crow was the comic relief, but then I noticed Borat who was intentionally funny. Sorry, Russle crow was pathetic. First singing he did was with him (playing an elitist type role) with a pauper. When the pauper sings 1000% better than the elitest, it has to make you laugh. Seriously, he was that bad. Hollywood should just cast unknowns that can actually sing. Everyone else could sing though. As for hte story, I just found it boring. I checked my watch 50 minutes in and though, oh not bad. But 90 minutes in I was checking my watch every 10 minutes for the remaining 50 minutes.

Jack Reacher - 7/10

A pretty typical action/mystery movie. Basically Mission Impossible, but without the gadgets. Decent acting. Some misdirection in the plot, but not much. I've never read any of the books, but Tom came across as a somewhat believable ex-military guy living off the grid and showing up to fight for what's right. A one-man A-Team, if you will. Not a complete waste of time.

Also, I wished I looked as young as Tom Cruise, and he is 15 years older than me!

Life of Pi - 7.5/10

I like some artsy films, and this one had some good visuals, humor, and acting. It definitely drew out some emotion. It felt like it started to drag eventually, however. Ending was a bit meh. Much better than Tree of Life, however - if the 2 are to be compared.

I don't regret watching yet, but I wouldn't watch it a second time.

No Country for Old Men - a wonderfully underplayed film from the Cohen brothers...

Ten out of ten....

\Tommy Lee Jones is scowling over his glasses at the rest of you...
Hated that movie with a passion. Also killer joe recently I saw and it is a real piece of turd. Kj in particular ws just violence porn without even the fun of it.

Looper is definitely worth a rental.

Original total recall is king but the remake was not bad, I enjoyed it enough.

Saw two movies over the weekend..

Les Miserables - 6/10 - A bit long.. too dark for much of the movie and a bit slow/boring. GF enjoyed it though.

Zero Dark Thirty - 9/10 - Enjoyed the movie from beginning to end.

+1 on Zero Dark Thirty... Makes you appreciate security and the small lapse even of the slightest can be fatal...

I also rented Killer Joe and would agree that it wasn't worth the $1.50 blu ray rental price.

The ending was very ungratifying although I know why they ended it the way they did.

You just enjoyed the chicken drumstick blowjob. Don't lie.

:sneaky:

Nah, I loved the acting and the dialogue. The performances were awesome and I loved everyone in it. The story was simple, but engaging, plus it was damn hilarious. Yeah, I was a huge fan of that one.

Django - 9.175 / 10

Offensive, bloody, hilarious. I've never been much of a Jamie Foxx fan but he is fantastic in the titular role. Great chemistry with the German actor (forgetting his name). If you like Tarantino, you're in for a treat.

Of all his movies, I like Pulp Fiction the most but Django is a very, very close second.

Yeah I'm not a Foxx fan at all, but he was very good here. Tarantino seems to be able to bring out the best in all of his actors.
