this is pretty crazy

boeing came to my college for a HUGE recruitment effort on monday 9/10/01. then this tradegy happens the next day, and i can only wonder what their hiring efforts are like now...one week later

According to some economists / financial analysts, our economy was heading down - however, the events of last week just accelerated the process.

It looks quite bad all over the place. Ansett Australia just went bust with an estimated AU$2 billion (US$1 billion) debt. Now Qantas is the only national carrier, after many other failed companies before it. Virgin is starting to spread its wings though. Air New Zealand is looking pretty stuffed as well. They bought Ansett, stripped its liquid(cash) assets to keep Air New Zealand propped up(dickheads), and now Ansett is gone, Air New Zealand is floundering. Air New Zealand made a stupid decision. Ah well, there's always Qantas, I doubt they will be going away.
