Little dramatization goin on there I think.

Just like a stereotype, it is earned for a reason. The most innocuous stuff can turn into the most outrageous case of over reaction on someone else's part.

My favorite:Scenario: Pedro fails high school English.

LOL, why do people get so caught up with a glorious past, by thinking the world was so peachy and perfect in 1973 :) :)

1973 we had Watergate, Vietnam War, "integration" problems with our schools, the start of Disco and a lot of other crap that sucked.. Each generation gets progressively easier, we all have it made compared to our parents or grandparents.

I'd take any of that over Picachu, Boy Bands, children growing up as pussies, and Boys complaining that their HOT female teacher is screwing them. When I was a kid, that was the ultimate status symbol.

Couple of those are funny. Most of them are ridiculous, overblown, and melodramatic.

First off, I'm sick of people calling my generation (I'm 20) pussies, over the internet no less. Put your money where your mouth is, or shut up. Second, if you went to a school where the most popular kids were the ones boning the teacher, then you went to one fscked up school.

And who's heard a boy band in the last 6 years?

This is what Michael Savage would say. I think we have come a long way from 1973 and still have a long way to go.

I disagree witha few.

the US soldiers did nto return with "tial between legs" as many know it was not the sodliers that "lost" the war it was the goverment. sadly same ****** is going on with Iraq.

as for Billie Jean King beating bobby riggs its not really a shock. Riggs was a crappy player and King was one of the better women players. you put one of the best women players against a so so male player and its no big shock.

Wasn't Riggs an Old Man when he played against that other woMAN?

A slight exaggeration, but only a slight one. I've been chased by police because I was lighting M-90's (they are so weak you could probably hold one in your hand when it detonated, and nothing would happen). I ran into the woods and waited around 30 minutes until they left.

BTW this was on 4th of July, in Massachusetts.

While a lot of the scenarios are improbable, they're not impossible in today's political and societal climate.

Lighten up guys, the list was made to be humorous - you guys are reacting as if it is being presented as the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

I do agree with the list. Just change 1973 to 'not too long ago' and people will stop listing all the bad things that happened back then :p
Best thing I've read here in quite some time.

Yeah, some of the improvements (changes, at least) that have been made to curb violence, terrorism, drug abuse, rape, etc. have had some negative effect. Being overly-sensitive to some things can be a bad thing.
