I've been using a 30x Transcend card with my S400 camera, will this one be too slow?

so 1X is .15MB/s? and 30X is 4.5MB/s. i wonder how fast my SanDisk 256MB is...
is there a place to look up info like this?

Your Sandisk is probably 4x. They are very slow, one of the slowest in the industry.

yeah, it's awfully hard to find tests for SD cards. here's one though link
doesn't include sandisk though

edit: that was for SD. it includes CF revies also.

sandisk is crap, it's probably the slowest CF out in the market. they have an ultra series now, but it's still a little slower than the rest of bunch.

you can get the kingston 256mb cf card from kingston.com for $39.99. they are having an anniversary special. shipping is free (fedex 2nd day)! they charge taxes on some states, california is one of them. still a good deal if you missed out on the amazon.

They are both excellent brands, I do not know the specs on the kingston, but I thought from previous threads it was 8X?
