edit: BB product link
Now says $71.99 less $60 MIRs online. Free shipping.

Just in case there haven't been enough wireless router deals, Best Buy has the D-link 802.11g wireless router AND notebook card (SKU 6897664, part # DWL-923) for $11.99 AR. (2 $30 MIRs).

It might be a typo. I just got back from there and when I look in the bag, it's a $30 and a $10 rebate. I went to the website and it's the same rebates there. Which makes it $39.99 after rebate + tax. More of a warm deal. Looks like I'm going back.

I hope it's not a typo. The ad is very clear about $19.99 as the final price, but you're right about the 2 rebates online being $30 and $10. It's hard to tell when the item isn't available on the website. Anyone else deal with this today?

I bought this on Black Friday, I think it was $80 then a $25 and a $35 rebate so $20 AR..same as this deal.

I got my BB rebate for $25 but still am waiting for the D-Link rebate...somehow I doubt it will ever come.

Oh well, I sold the card locally for $25 so if I ever do get the D-Link rebate it means I got a free Router...and the router is great , I just use it as a regular router though , I have not tried the wireless portion.

Just got back fr. BB, either price mistake or typo. Only $30 and $10 rebate printed out. Kindly pointed out the store Ad to cashier, and she had the nerve to print out the SAME $30 MIR and said here's another $30 rebate, send that in too. (IT'S THE SAME FREAKING REBATE, SAME #, CLUELESSLY TOLD ME TO SEND IN THE SAME REBATE TWICE...)

Kindly protested that it's the same rebate... and she asked a manager w/ ad in hand, they adjusted -$20 back to my credit card and walked out w/ 10 and 30 MIR...

I hope BB doesn't screw me and say it's a PM or priceadj and won't honor the rebate... gonna scan in copy of the Store Ad and send it w/ a note w/ the rebate...

Good timing on the deal, my 802.11b notebook card just died on me...

If you bought this just for the card then its not a hot deal at all....those cards go for $19 each all day long on Ebay and there are tons and tons of them.

But I'm getting the card + router for 19 total after rebate, I can sell the router and get smthing back... just checked Ebay, the router goes for around 20 by itself, so free upgrade. 😀

Not bad (assuming your rebates go through). I picked up a G router & USB adapter from CompUSA some time back... $30 or so after a ton of MIR. Dang this wireless stuff is getting cheap!

Currently the site says $71.99 less $60 in MIRs = $11.99 for router and card. But it shows as out of stock online. Says available in my local store, so you might want to check your own and bring printout of web page.

Just a heads up, I thought this was a great deal too, but wound up returning it after nightmare upon nightmare with getting it to work.

seethis thread for more info.

Basically, while some seem to have little problem, many others have majour problems with the newest BIOS and have to flash back to an earlier BIOS. I tried that - but it didn't work for me, so I wound up returning it to BB and getting a Netgear equivalent. Plugged the thing in, set it up and it's been going for a month straight now without *any* issues whatsoever.

Don't take this as a flame, just a heads up if people encounter problems with setting it up. The DSLreports link was quite helpful for me - but ultimately fruitless.

As a DI-524 owner myself, I must say that at first, the router kept dropping connections and was horrible (many other users experiencing the same). Searching the internet for problems led me to try downgrading the firmware to 1.0.3 or something to that nature which completely fixed everything.

IMO a great deal for a great router (after firmware downgrade).

There are two $30 rebates available through the Best Buy website. One from Best Buy and one from D-Link. There is a $35 rebate available on the D-Link website dropping the cost of the router and card to just over $13 with tax for me. Off to go pick one up after work.

Picked up the router/card combo and set up six days ago. No problems so far with connection or speed. Well worth $13. Apparently you want to get the revision "C" router.

I'm glad it's working for you! Just keep an eye on the "drop/reconnect" bugs and what not.

What BIOS.errr...I mean firmware are you using, the 1.05 or 1.03?

Yea make sure you get the revision C router (this was introduced in mid december) Most of us who got the A version (there is no B) on black friday regret it. While many who had problems got it fixed by DOWNGRADING to the 1.03 firmware, many of us couldnt fix it and ended up buying another router. Only reason I didn't return it is for $20, the card alone couldn't be beat (remember this was 3 months ago).

BentValve, same here. Best buys was in the mail 4 weeks after mailing the rebate. But dlinks is still MIA. I've gotten 2 of 8 rebates from that weekend back so far. I've currently sent out for responses, but this could be the last time i'll do rebates again. It's really not worth it.

I got the "A" revision and the connection was next to nil. Pops has the "C" revision and the connection was great.....

My rebate did come yesterday.... from the Black Friday deal.

Taking the router back today..... looks like I need the "C" version

Notes: The rebate offers listed on this page are not valid at the following retail locations: Best Buy, Circuit City, CompUSA, Costco, Costco.com, Fry's, Micro Center, Office Depot, Office Max and Outpost.com. I don't think your going to get the D-Link rebate if you bought the item from Best Buy.
