What are those Weather and Calendar apps?

Base program is called Conky, which can be called a system monitor I suppose, but it can be extended to do much more than just system monitoring.

Very long forum thread on configuring Conky

Yeah, I was hoping you wouldn't say it was Conky.. ;)

Bah - I broke down and figured most of it. I need to find a good weather script, but my favorite forums are down. I'll post a new SS when I've got it working.

Conky is like a illicit drug, once you start, you can't stop.....

Let me know if you want a copy of my scripts to take a look at.

Vista 64. Pretty damn plain. When I was a full-time Linux user I had tons of eye candy but now I just really like a plain/clean desktop.

I want this.

It's Linux running Openbox WM with conky displaying the weather, sysinfo and the calender.

What distro are you using? Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex, or something else?

Is that based on the concept artwork? I like that wood background. Where can I find it?

The wallpaper is from Deviant Art. I also updated mine with Conky but I can't seem to find the Weather script that Little Elvis is using (hint hint :D). Shiki-Colors for the theme and Cairo-Dock for the dock. Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid.

A little fun with VirtualBox: Text

For a testing platform, it's hard to beat VB - can't believe I've never played with it before.
