My components are all officially on their way or already delivered. Here's what I ended up with:

After MIR - $1141.21

The only thing left to consider (per my above post) is whether an additional 8GB of memory is worth it given low prices and a workload sometimes consisting of large RAW file editing.

I doubt you'll need more than 8GB, but what you should do is try to max out your RAM when photo editing and if it poses to be a problem then you can buy another kit

:thumbsup: I agree. Since everything has been ordered, there is no reason to second guess yourself before you have a chance to experiment. A couple of days either way won't matter.

Idle CPU temps between 24-27C, I assume this is good/solid for the 212evo?

Regarding overclocking on the P8Z68-V LE: What is the preferred method of adjusting the multiplier on this board? Is there a way to disable turbo and overclock all cores at all times or does it have to be handled via the turbo boost settings?

Good you got it working :thumbsup:. Some cable management really is needed though. Is the CPU cable not long enough to be routed behind the mobo? See that grommet nearest to the PSU? Try putting as many cables through there, arrange them neatly behind the mobo tray, then pull all the connectors to the front through the hole nearest to where they connect.

Those idle temps look very good.

Whether or not to disable turbo boost probably depends on how high you OC. If it's only a mild OC, keep it on but if you're aiming for 4.5 or anything that requires a voltage increase then I'd suggest disabling the turbo and adjusting only the base multiplier.

Yes, those are very good temps.

I agree with lehtv on turbo or not to turbo. Bumping the turbo multi is a great way to get a moderate, yet very low power OC. Beyond that, you will want to disable it (along with power savings features, etc.) and just increase the base multi. directly. Whether or not the performance is worth the extra noise and power consumption is up to you.
