Novell Netware 6 Server issues

Homerboy

at 4:44am Saturday our storage NW6 server went down w/ an abend.
in trouble shooting with our "support" (these guys suck), and reading A TON online today, it seems that the SYS and DATA volumes are not even mounted on boot up. I can not get vrepair to work unless SYS/DATA are mounted so that is useless at this time.

Ive followed every step here: http://developer.novell.com/research/se...etsupport/networkts/2001/april/spv.htm
with no luck at all.

Can anyone help me in this? Do we have any NW6 experts here?

OK - if you've followed that procedure exactly, are you getting any FAILs while starting up? If so, what is failing?

Call me crazy, but after working with NetWare for as long as I have, I cannot imagine the OS being happy about not having the SYS volume available... it has to be complaining about *something* on bootup, if it's not mounting any volumes (and it previously did).

I don't think you're getting far enough for it to execute successfully, but have you tried DSREPAIR?
