According to Decibel(http://n0cgi.distributed.net/cgi/dnet-finger.cgi?user=decibel), Dnet has sent out all the OGR stubs! They'll be reissuing shortly, which means OGR WUs will quickly be going stale. I've asked all the BB operators and Mika to lower their OGR buffers to minimal amounts, but in order to make that work, you need to make changes too. Only buffer a few OGR WUs at a time, don't do OGR and RC5, and flush all OGR WUs ASAP if possible. Make these changes ASAP if you want your OGR WUs to count!

I don't know how far they are going, but this is OGR-24. Since there are "only" 24 numbers to optimize, it will go faster than OGR-25, then OGR-26, etc...

Plus, it isn't really over yet, just that all the available stubs (work units) are issued. Many of them are held by clients whose owners immediately turned off OGR, so they will have to be re-issued. OGR-25 shouldn't suffer this problem.

Mika, or others that know, those "P" and "E" stats on the OGR fullstats are going to stay, or those wu done with old clients will be deleted ? Because the numbers are mis-leading the competition....

That's so fast. They also say that about 20% of the work has already been done. However, I can still retrieve blocks so it looks like they're already issuing old stuff.

I just had emailed to me 500 blocks for my second machine yesterday. It seems to be doing only 3/hr or so. At this rate it would take until next weekend to finish.

Should I just scrap it and download a new block of 75 on a daily basis? Otherwise I figure I'll be doing useless work with that computer. I keep using it until tonite though.

Eug, It really depends on DNet. If they are re-releasing the stubs in the same order that they originally released them, you might be safe for a few days. It's a crap shoot though!

EVERYONE, If you are not already on the 463b client, please consider upgrading. We (Viz, Eug, and I) have found (with help from crYnOid and others) that in OGR the new client is from 20% to 30% faster than previous clients. Note that if you upgrade in the middle of a stub, the client will restart from the beginning of the stub. So try to do it just after a client finishes a stub and before it does too much on the next.

OK then. I'll download new stuff tonite and scrap the remaining 400+ blocks of the old group. (I don't have net access on that computer for those who are wondering.)

P.S. I'm in Mika's database twice. When you retire one account, do the blocks automatically get merged? I know they do in dnet, but what abuot Mika's?

Eug, you have to do a seperate retiring to retire in Mika's pproxy. Search the forums archive for it.:)

Retiring at Mika's is very simple. Basically, you mail Mika with your old e-mail and your new e-mail. :)

Thanks. I had already sent him an email. If a merge were done now that will push me into the top 50 at Mika's. :) Too bad I hadn't sent all my blocks to him initially.
