Hi Anand

Will I notice a difference if I upgrade to a 2100 thorougbred B that is advertised on Newegg???
How easy is it to overclock???
I am running an xp 1600 on a soyo dragon plus (kt266a) with 256 of ddr 2100
I also have a geforce 4 ti 4400, and a 40 gig 7200 wd hdd
I have the itch to upgrade, but would like a noticeable difference.

Thanks for any input.

It's not going to be extremely noticable, but it will feel a bit smoother. If you overclock it to past 2ghz on the other hand 😉 These things are hitting at least 2.15ghz consistently (13x166) with small vcore increases (usually to 1.7v or 1.75v)

Btw, your nick reminds me of the name of a character from one of my favorite movies of all time.

😀

well do you plan to overclock?

if so, the pc2100 will probably hold you back unless you dont care about a high mult and lower freq

also which heatsink do you have?
its not terribl;y hard to overclock...

i be pimpin this once again heh 😉

Is it a t-bred b or a???

My heatsink is a coolermaster aluminum cooler CFM is 27

Will my motherboard recognize a t-bred???? It is a soyo dragon plus

I have never flashed my bios before.

Thanks

If you wanna upgrade...with the price of RAM dropping and you having only 256MB then think about getting more.

LOL I just watched that movie with my roommates; it literally ended 1 hour ago. Andy Dufresne, what a character!
