....packing for five days, buying food for a hotel room for five days, getting mentally prepared for five days of orientation, driving 2.5 hours ONE way....to find out that only one day this week will be orientation due to Thanksgiving.

"Oh MrsSkoorb, we're sorry. We forgot to mention that we changed the date of the Tuesday to Friday section until next week!"

:disgust:

So, I then pack up my hotel room, after just ONE boring day of orientation and drive the 2.5 hours home again.

The only thing that could be worse would be having to stay and missing Skoorbie. :p

Well, at least you're employed.

You have to go for orientation in TN? Does that mean the position is out there or you'll still be in 'Bama?

The last part....but the same goes for me remember. :(
Once orientation is finished, I only work 3 12 hour shifts for a few weeks and then my real schedule which is 2 12 hour shifts per week.

Maybe it pays $25/hr. :p

I think RN's make more than that. IIRC, the last round of Healthcare ads (there are ads that take up a whole page just asking for RN's here in FL) were saying around $70k+ a year.
